A bill that would force local governments in Arizona to allow people to carry guns into public buildings unless secure gun lockers are provided passed the House Public Safety, Military and Regulatory Affairs Committee last month.
House Bill 2554 would not apply to public school or college campuses. It includes public stadiums and conference centers, but Rep. John Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills and the bill’s sponsor, said he plans to remove that portion of the bill if House Speaker Andy Tobin, R-Paulden, allows it to go to the full chamber for a vote
